Visiting South Africa?
As per South African government regulations, all travellers to South Africa will be required to take a COVID-19 PCR test, complete the traveller health questionnaire and download the COVID Alert South Africa app before departure.How does COVID-19 testing work?
The International Travel Authority has allowed international travellers to travel to South Africa as of 11th November 2020, if they provide a copy of a negative COVID-19 PCR test that was obtained within 72 hours of the date of travel. The airport team will verify the COVID-19 PCR test at the time of flight departure as part of the document check. Upon arrival, travellers will be screened for COVID-19 symptoms and asked any questions they may have.The exemptions
Children under the age of 5 are exempt from the COVID-19 PCR test. If you plan to travel to South Africa, please check your individual visa requirements.Forms Required
Before arriving, travellers must complete a health questionnaire. The mandatory form can be downloaded here. If travellers are required to self-isolate, they must provide proof of accommodation and address in South Africa.
